It always makes me thrilled to
be a teacher when i receive letters like this one from Alice Mao, a recent
graduate of Stevenson high school.
Ms. Alexander,
having you as my piano coach for these past four years has truly been amazing. i
remember when we first came to see you. i barely even knew how to clonk out a
piece right. thank you for always being patient with me. you are a phenomenal
teacher and it's truly been an honor to study with you. thank you especially for
encouraging me to play at recitals and competitions. before, i was deathly
afraid to perform for others, but now i enjoy playing in front of my friends and
family. through you, I've truly found an appreciation for the beauty, the
excitement, and joy that music brings. hopefully in college. i will continue to
practice and remember the pieces i used to play. i will miss you greatly ms Mary
Ann, and I wish you and your future students all the best.
god bless,
Alice Mao
